허니베어 잉글리쉬는 부부가 함께 운영하는 전주의 영어학원입니다. 두 원장 모두 유치부부터 초등, 중등, 성인까지 폭넓은 연령을 가르쳐 왔습니다. Honey Bear English is a family-run English academy in Jeonju. Both directors have taught every age group, from kindergarten through elementary and middle school to adults.

영어는 허니베어 수업의 중심이지만, 아이의 탄탄한 한국어 실력과 배경지식이 무엇보다 중요하다고 믿습니다. 모국어로 쌓은 지식과 사고력이 있어야 영어도 더 깊이 이해하고 자연스럽게 받아들일 수 있습니다.English is at the heart of what we teach, but we believe a child's strong Korean foundation matters just as much. The knowledge and thinking skills children build in their first language are what let them understand English more deeply and take it in more naturally.

입학 전 레벨 테스트로 아이의 현재 실력을 확인하고, 나이나 학년과 상관없이 딱 맞는 레벨 반에 배정합니다. 실력이 오르면 다음 레벨로 올라갑니다.A placement test shows where each child is now, and they join the level that fits, whatever their age or school grade. As their English grows, they move up.

They do both intrinsic reading (books they choose for enjoyment) and extrinsic reading (assigned, goal-based reading) to build a lasting reading habit.

영어 스피치 대회 준비Speech contest preparation
허니베어 학생들은 매년 몇 차례 전국 영어 스피치 대회에 참가합니다. 원고 작성부터 발음, 무대 발표까지 원장님들이 직접 지도합니다.Honey Bear students compete in national English speech contests a couple of times every year. The directors coach each student personally, from writing the speech to pronunciation and stage delivery.

허니베어 잉글리쉬는 학습 성향 진단 앱 SMART LQ로 학생 한 명 한 명의 학습 성향을 파악하고, 반 전체의 경향까지 함께 살펴봅니다.We use SMART LQ, a learning-profile app, to understand how each student prefers to study and to see the patterns across each class.

동기, 메타인지, 정보 처리 방식, 피드백 반응, 학습 환경, 끈기, 언어 학습의 7가지 영역에서 아이의 성향을 확인하고, 선생님과 부모님이 각자 실천할 수 있는 맞춤 팁을 받습니다.Seven areas: motivation, metacognition, processing style, response to feedback, study environment, persistence and language learning. Teachers and parents each get practical tips matched to the child.
